How to Get a Gemini API Key from Google
- Sign in with your Google Account: Go to Google AI Studio and sign in using your Google or Gmail account. If you don’t have one, create a Google account first.
- Navigate to the Gemini API section: Within Google AI Studio, find and select the option for "Gemini API" or look for a prominent button labeled "Get API key."
- Create your API key: Click on "Get API key" or "Create API key." You may need to accept the terms of service or additional usage agreements. After this, your API key will be generated and displayed.
- Copy and save your API key securely: Copy the generated key and save it in a secure place, as this key will be used by Pitch Reflections to access Gemini’s API for AI reflections.
- Optional: Modify the API endpoint URL.
How to Get a Free OpenAI API Key
- Create an OpenAI Account: Go to platform.openai.com and sign up for a free account using your email, or link a Google, Microsoft, or Apple account.
- Verify Your Email and Finish Setup: Check your inbox, confirm your email address, and complete account setup with your name, birthdate, and (optional) organization details.
- Generate Your API Key: In the dashboard, click on API Keys from the left menu. Select + Create new secret key, provide a label (e.g., "My Personal App Key"), and create it.
- Copy and Secure Your API Key: Copy the key immediately, as it will only be shown once. Store it in a safe location, since this key grants access to OpenAI’s services within Pitch Reflections.
- Optional: Modify the API endpoint URL.
